Why Santa Sabina?

Faith-based Holistic Education

A Catholic school in the Dominican tradition for over 130 years, Santa Sabina College grounds students in faith and inspires them to seek truth. Guided by the Dominican pillars of Prayer, Study, Community and Service, we provide a holistic education that nurtures each child’s intellectual, spiritual, physical and emotional development.

Our Strathfield campuses are set on extensive grounds in the vibrant inner west of Sydney, offering exceptional facilities and abundant space for every student to flourish.

Co-educational Primary Campus

Learning begins in infancy on our Primary Campus (Del Monte), where children in Mary Bailey House (our Early Education Centre), Prep and Kindergarten to Year 4 grow together in a co-educational environment. Supported by exceptional programs and specialist teachers, our youngest learners are encouraged to explore, discover and build strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Where Girls are Front and Centre

Our Gioia House precinct places girls front and centre in Years 5 and 6, providing an inspiring environment that prepares them for the secondary years ahead.

Broad Curriculum Choices

From Years 7 to 12, students are empowered to pursue their individual strengths through a broad choice of academic programs, including both the HSC and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. With a strong record of consistent academic success, our students are inspired to achieve at their personal best. All learners are supported through enrichment and diverse learning programs, ensuring every student is known, challenged and celebrated.

Academic results

We are proud of our consistently strong academic results, with our 2024 IB cohort achieving the College’s best outcomes since the program began. Santa Sabina was ranked the top IB school in NSW for students scoring 44 or above, with 12.5% of the cohort reaching this level (ATAR 99.5+) and three students attaining perfect scores of 45 (ATAR 99.95). Our IB average of 37 (ATAR 93.3) far exceeded the global average of 29.2. In the HSC, highlights included a highest ATAR of 98.25, a Top All-Rounder award, and excellent results from our Year 11 accelerants in Italian and Mathematics.

Outdoor Education Campus

Learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our Tallong Outdoor Education Campus in the Southern Highlands offers transformative experiences that build resilience and leadership opportunities.

Renowned Music Program

Music is a hallmark of our College, with one of the largest instrumental programs in the country. Students begin their musical journey in the Primary Years and continue through a wide range of ensembles and performance opportunities across their schooling.
