Empowering Young Leaders
Leadership is a core Dominican value, following in the tradition of Servant Leadership inspired by Christ’s example of humility and service. We believe that every student has the potential to lead and we provide opportunities for leadership development from Year 4 through to Year 12.
Our leadership programs help students:
- model service and Gospel values
- motivate and inspire peers
- demonstrate initiative and responsibility
- uphold high standards of conduct and presentation
- lead with confidence and empathy.
Leadership Through Service and Community
Our leadership model encourages students to lead with integrity, compassion and purpose. Leadership at Santa Sabina is:
- Reflective – grounded in self-awareness and personal growth
- Critical – informed by thoughtful decision-making and ethical reasoning
- Visionary – focused on creating positive change within the school and beyond.
Students are guided to live out our Dominican Pillars: Prayer, Community, Study and Service and to become seekers of truth who inspire and uplift others.
Formal Leadership Structure –
Years 4, 6 and 12
Students in formal leadership years can apply for a variety of roles, including:
- College Captains (two in Year 12)
- Faith and Mission Leader (Year 12)
- Social Justice Leader (Year 12)
- Wellbeing Leader (Year 12)
- Environment and Sustainability Leader (Year 12)
