Each student belongs to a House – like their extended family – and within each House each student belongs to a Homeroom of between 20-22 students. Each student’s Homeroom becomes their College family unit for their secondary years. Students meet in their Homeroom at the beginning of each day and become well known to their Homeroom Teacher, their advocate and mentor, throughout the Secondary Years.
From Semester 2 in Year 7 and up to Year 12, students are organised into vertical Homerooms with cross-year connections. These Homerooms foster strong mentoring relationships, leadership opportunities and a sense of continuity across the Secondary Years. Older students support younger peers, creating a culture of care, collaboration and shared growth.
In Semester 1, Year 7 students begin in a dedicated Year 7 horizontal Homeroom (with other Year 7s), designed to ease the transition to high school through specialised activities that build confidence, foster friendships and help them thrive. In Semester 2, they move into their Year 7–12 vertical Homeroom.
