Inclusion is central to how we teach, care and grow as a community. We create learning environments where every student feels seen, supported and inspired to become a compassionate, confident learner.
Our inclusive education program is grounded in equity, dignity and a belief in the unique strengths of each student. We support students with diverse learning needs including disability, language backgrounds and individual learning profiles through personalised and collaborative approaches.
Our strategies and practices include:
- the identification, monitoring and review of student needs
- making adjustments to learning informed by a range of qualitative and quantitative data from external professionals’ diagnostics reports and internal assessment screening tools
- consultation with parents/carers, teachers, and allied service providers to inform the level of need and recommended adjustments
- the development of Personalised Learning Plans that reflect the needs and adjustments in place to support students with disability, language and other diverse needs
- ensuring differentiation of programs and pedagogy to support the continuum of diverse student needs.
What inclusive education looks like at Santa:
- Identifying and responding to each student’s learning needs through ongoing review
- Making adjustments based on internal assessments and external professional reports
- Working in partnership with families, teachers and allied professionals
- Creating Personalised Learning Plans tailored to student goals and strengths
- Differentiating learning to meet a wide range of needs in the classroom
- On the Secondary Campus, our ASPIRE Program (Years 8–10) offers specialised support for diverse learners in a dedicated setting.
Every student is encouraged to thrive. We take a strengths-based, whole-student approach to ensure learning is meaningful, inclusive and grounded in the Dominican values of truth, compassion and justice.
