Our approach to inclusive education is built on equity, respect and a belief in the potential of every student. We support students with diverse learning needs including disability, language backgrounds and individual learning profiles through personalised and collaborative strategies.
Our inclusive practices include
- Identifying, monitoring and reviewing individual student needs
- Adjusting learning based on both internal assessments and external professional reports
- Consulting with families, teachers and allied service providers
- Developing Personalised Learning Plans tailored to each student
- Our new Sensory Room to assist children with social and emotional sensory needs.
Targeted support for Prep to Year 4
- In-class support and intervention programs for literacy and numeracy including MiniLit SAGE and MacqLit (literacy), CAMS and STAMS (maths)
- The Kindergarten Transition program is delivered in partnership with teachers.
We take a strength-based, holistic approach to ensure every student has access to meaningful learning and a school experience that reflects our values of inclusion, compassion and excellence.Nicole Meehan, Diverse Learning Coordinator
