Prep – Year 4

Welcome from the Head of Primary

In Prep to Year 4 in Del Monte, every boy and girl is nurtured to grow and learn within a safe, caring community where each child is known and valued. Grounded in our Dominican charism and Catholic faith, we strive to live the Gospel values of truth, compassion and justice every day. We recognise the vital role families play in a child’s education and work in strong partnership with parents to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.

Our Prep to Kindergarten school readiness program supports the transition into formal schooling, focusing on each child’s developmental needs and providing early intervention where required. We implement best teaching and learning practices while fostering wellbeing, belonging and resilience. With broad co-curricular opportunities, emerging technology and a vibrant new outdoor playground, we inspire children to learn with joy, explore with curiosity, think critically and develop the confidence to thrive academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally.

Our vibrant co-educational Campus

Learning in Del Monte is joyful, purposeful, and grounded in strong social and emotional foundations. Del Monte is the only independent Catholic co-educational primary campus in the region. With intentionally small class sizes, we ensure every child is known, supported and challenged from their very first day.

St Lucy’s Satellite Classes at Santa Sabina College

Santa Sabina College is proud to host St Lucy’s K–2 satellite classes on our Primary Campus. This partnership reflects our shared Dominican heritage and commitment to inclusive, holistic education grounded in Veritas.

The Satellite Program supports students with additional learning needs who benefit from a small, highly specialised classroom environment. Students receive tailored teaching and structured support, while also enjoying the social and learning opportunities of a mainstream school setting.

St Lucy’s students join Santa Sabina students for playground time, assemblies, liturgies, specialist lessons and major College events. These shared experiences help build confidence, communication, independence and a strong sense of belonging.
