Music P – 4

Santa Sabina students are renowned for their music making thanks to extensive opportunities made available for them from the earliest years. Our students’ music-learning journey in class and in co-curricular activities is carefully mapped from the start, beginning with singing and percussion and progressing to String, Brass, Woodwind, Taiko and our recently launched Chinese Music Ensemble, (guzheng and pipa).

Not only do we we seek to prepare life and industry-ready musicians, we bring the joy and academic advantages of music study and performance into the daily life of our students. Special performance opportunities for Primary Years students include Del Monte Carols in December, Gala Concert, Celebration of Music, Speech Night, Fra Angelico Festival, Masses in the Chapel and informal recitals in the Primary Years Hall or the performance spaces of Holyrood (our Music Department).

We believe that music makes life and the human experience so much richer – and therefore it should be accessible to all.

Co-curricular enrichment and extension through ensemble experiences

Students can perform in a variety of String, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion Ensembles and Choirs.
